I had a close relationship that was deteriorating. I went to SGGS for guidance, and found a wealth of information on how to communicate.

Today we have instant communication through our technology. However meaningful communication isn't happening.

One of the first gems I came across was
jab lag dunia rahiyai nanak kich suniyai kich kahiyai
===========

This is the key to communication. Listening. Good listening is gone. We don't listen any more. Deep listening, active listening, reflective listening, reiterative listening. When we don't listen, we don't communicate.

There are 4 pauris in Japji devoted to listening. Everything in SGGS is at the divine level as well as the personal level.

When we listen to someone, we make them feel important and we are opening our heart to them.

We have a limited time to give our time to others, so lets make every communication count.
