Through the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Ji there shall be light amidst the Dark Age of Kaljug.  Kaljug meaning the time frame in which we are living in today: the Age where truth is hidden and falsehood prevails. Day and night false deeds are committed behind closed doors. We think the Fire of Kaljug is only in our home and we are the only ones suffering.  The Kaljug lasts 432,000 years. The dawn of this Kaljug was 3606 B.C. The end will be in A.D. 2442

Don’t be scared or alarmed, there is always light at the end of a dark tunnel. We need to look inside us with the mirror of Gurbani. We prefer death over dishonor.  We are known for giving our head with beaming smiles on our faces. We don’t fear death. Death cannot come near us, only one conviction. Give your head to your Guru. Until then we are still stuck in the comings and goings of re-incarnation.

Sat(i)naam(u) = Our identity is TRUTH

How can we become and live this truth if we keep lying to others and ourselves?  Don’t just read Mul Mantar. Become Mul Mantar.  People have said these exact same words before, but now its time to let go of our Ego and live as the light of Waheguru.

Everyday in Ardas we say: Nanak Naam Chardi Kala, Tere Bhane Sarbat da Bhala!

Hello? Sarbat da Bhala. What does that mean? We bless every single living human being, we want world peace and we are not scared to give our lives for it. We are Khalsa. We live, walk, and breathe Truth.

Pavan Guroo = Every breathe we breathe is given to us by Waheguru. Realize it and feel your breath come in and out of your system.

God is the Lord and Master of millions of universes; He is the Giver of all beings.

Our Guru lives and resides inside every heart.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji is in our heart, embrace his love with open arms, he is waiting for us.

When we listen to Gurbani we must be present. Listen with our inner and outer ears. Soak in the vibrations and teachings of Gurbani.  Baba Gurbachan Singh Khalsa Ji said that we have two ears but only one mouth meaning we should listen more and talk less. When you start to practice what your Father is telling you, you will come closer to truth.  Just as when we walk towards the Sun (Guru) there is extreme brightness ahead and the dark shadow of Maya is left behind. That is how Guru brings us from darkness to light. So wake up and feel the love.  Some people say, “O, I give up! I cannot concentrate in meditation!” Don’t loose heart, keep listening to Gurbani. Play Gurbani at night and you will sleep peacefully.

There are many leaders in our Sikh Panth. Some are true and some are not. Just as the phrase we hear our parents say, “Eh duniya mutlab di ah, koi nahi kise da.” This world is selfish, no one belongs to anyone.  Accept the truth that even the biggest of leaders and kings have left this world empty-handed. We don’t have time to waste on empty debates and fights.

ma(n)dhaa kisai n aakh jhagarraa paavanaa ||
Do not speak ill of others, or get involved in arguments.

It is time to give your head to your Guru. What does giving your head mean? Complete surrender to your Guru. Cut away your bad habits and negative tendencies through Gurbani.

sabadh marahu fir jeevahu sadh hee thaa fir maran n hoee ||
Dying in the Word of the Shabad, you shall live forever, and you shall never die again.

We will fight for truth until our last breath. Live every breath as your last. What ever needs to be done must be done now!

Kabeer, that which you have to do tomorrow - do it today instead; and that which you have to do now - do it immediately!
