Artist Biography

Hailing from South West Sydney, cur rently residing in Melbourne, 25 - year old Hip Hop artist L - FRESH The LION has made a name for himself with his versatile catalogue and his energetic and engaging live show. He has gone from strength - to - strength, nabbing high profile support spots nationally; impressing the likes of Nas, Public Enemy, The Herd, Hermitude and many more. It is his passion, honesty and integrity as an artist and lyricist that has garnered him such noteworthy attention.

Recently,The LION was a featured speaker at TEDx Parramatta where he presented a talk entitled“Self creation through Hip Hop” . He has appeared on Channel 10’s “The Project”, ABC Radio National and ABC Sydney Local Radio for his work in community. Passionate about issues relating to social justice,The LION has also been a panelist at an Amnesty International event and at the Happiness & Its Causes Conference.

He is also the founder of The Power To The Peaceful Community , a clothing label and online community that exists to encourage everlasting and meaningful dialogue around peace and peaceful relationships. On a lighter note, he was voted into Triple J’s Top 10 Most Powerful Beards in the Australian Music Industry.

After the success of his hit single ‘One’, L - FRESH has just dropped his second offering from his album ‘Faithful’ which was released on Friday 25^th October 2013.

On the back of recent successes of his radio hit single 'One', L-FRESH The LION has once
again proven to the Hip Hop community that he is a figure to be taken seriously not only as an
artist, but also as a much needed voice for our generation.

And now it's time to do it all again with his latest single 'Faithful' which is a beautifully
arranged eclectic piece that carries a message of restoring faith in humanity.

Faithful captures The LION's roots where he grew up in South-Western Sydney. It highlights
some harsh realities such as problems the community often faces with drugs, poverty and
selfishness.

In Faithful, L-FRESH encourages a message to rise above all of this; look out for each other
and make the most of this precious gift we have: "life”.

His latest offering enforces his position as a leader in his field and further cements L-FRESH
as an artist who is now widely respected by not only the Hip Hop community, but also by the
wider Australian music industry.

L-FRESH The LION will be taking to the stage with his full live band this November up and
down the East Coast. Faithful will be released on iTunes on Friday 25^th October along with
the film clip.
