Recently Derby Sikhs had a Kids Fun Day at our local gurdwara. It was a huge success thanks to God. Sometimes...actually, a lot of the times, kids teach us so much through their pure love and innocence. There were some inspirational activities going on which can be seen through the pictures posted on the Facebook page (Facebook.com/DerbySikhs). A short video highlight will be posted later on. One of the activities was letter writing. We wish to share these beautiful letters with the rest of the world with the intention that someone may get inspired by these letters and also to share ideas for Sikh Fun Days and that others kids would benefit. The more interactive ideas we share, the more fun the kids would have fun, hence, the more they would learn about Sikhi! Maybe we could have a section somewhere on your website where ideas for game activities can be listed so that we can all benefit. Feel free to check out the pictures of the Kids Fun Day and also the'Letters to Vaheguru' which can be seen at Facebook.com/DerbySikhs, reproduced in part below. As you can see, we have used a lot of the article that you have put up in SikhiWiki (a collaborative effort with SikhNet - ED) which have proved invaluable! Many many thanks to that. Derby Sikhs |
Letters to Vaheguru |
What would you write on your letter to Vaheguru...? As part of the recent Kids Fun Day in December, the children participated in an activity called 'Letter Writing'. After a brainstorming session where ideas were discussed and generated, each child wrote their own letter to Vaheguru. These letters give us a great insight into the mind of a child and are very inspiring! It can show us what is really important through the eyes of an innocent child. Feel free to 'Like' and 'Share' to spread the love and inspiration! (Please note: the names have been blanked out for privacy purposes) |
