OAKVILLE, ONTARIO, Canada (February 11, 2014)—Among proud family, friends and classmates in attendance, 17 year old Rajvir Singh Kahlon, formally announced his acceptance to the University of Pittsburgh on a soccer scholarship this past Wednesday at the 2014 NCAA National Signing Day. National Signing Day is the first day that a high school Graduate can sign a binding National Letter of Intent (NLI) for all college sports with a school that is a member of the United States National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
The University of Pittsburgh Men’s Soccer team competes in Division 1 (D1) team in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Division 1 is the highest level of collegiate sports sanctioned under the NCAA, and the ACC is known as the most competitive and hardest conference in Division 1. The final four teams of the 2013 Men’s soccer final were from the ACC.
