First glimpse of “Jarnayl Hari Singh Nalwa” touched everybody

Toronto (June 10, 2015) – BMO IFFSA | PIFF Toronto 2015 organized a five-day film festival from 14th–18th May. The variety of 40+ events were held in 6 different cities in GTA.

On this occasion, Mandeep Aujla, as CEO of Aujla Innovations Inc., and on behalf of Crazy Cub Animation Studio announced that they are making a 3-D animation film. The topic of the film will certainly bring back memories of the Golden period of Sher-e-Punjab, Maharaja Ranjit Singh. “Jarnayl Hari Singh Nalwa” movie is based on some real life incidents from his life. Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa, was Commander-in-chief in Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s army. He has the honour of being the only general to ever conquer Afghanistan. It was because of him that the frontiers of Sikh Empire extended beyond the Indus river right up to the doors of ‘Khyber Pass’.

In the film making, 3-D animation is becoming more and more popular these days. Children and youth of today can grasp the theme of the film very fast and it stays in their hearts. Films watched in our childhood touch the core of our hearts and are retained in our long term memory.

On 16th May, a filmi mela was held, the grounds of Sheridan College (Brampton Campus) were packed with people. For the first time digital poster of the film “Jarnayl Hari Singh Nalwa” was released which was received by the people with enthusiasm. Title track of “Jarnayl Hari Singh Nalwa” film was also released there. Gurdeep Singh Sekhon has written the lyrics of the song and also composed it. R. Guru is the music director. Sanjeev Kumar has rendered his voice for the song. Parm Sarai exhibited his skills in the mixing and mastery of the track. Now, this track is available online.

On the last day of the Film Festival, Rose Theatre Brampton was full with people for the closing ceremony, when the Teaser of the film “Jarnayl Hari Singh Nalwa” was unveiled which earned well deserved praise and was widely applauded. The film fraternity present also appreciated such a venture.

Director Mandeep Aujla said, “The way people have received the Teaser, Title track and Digital poster reflects their interest in such topics. It shows that they want us to make films on such subjects. We’ll do our best to the project Jarnayl’s personality and the historical background of those days more effectively through animation. Our entire team is working very hard to make this happen.”

Kamal Pahuja as a CG Director expressed his views: "With Jarnayl Hari Singh Nalwa film, we are trying to raise the bar of Animation Quality and covering all available technologies of 3D animation but still keeping the soul of JARNAYL alive."
