His Holiness the Dalai Lama's pilgrimage to the Golden Temple that stands in the centre of the ‘sarovar’, the tank of holy water, at the centre of the Harmandir Sahib, the holiest place of worship in Sikhism in Amritsar, Punjab, India on November 9, 2019.
The Buddhist leader had this to say about Guru Nanak,

"Guru Nanak he himself took a pilgrimage to Mecca. That shows religious harmony. Also, imagine his followers, no caste system, that's a great thing. So I whole heartedly admire Sikhism: No caste system. Then the 'sardar ji', wherever they live they are hard working. I never saw a Sardar ji as a beggar. No, all are hard working. Wonderful. So please carry this tradition continuously. The world needs this kind of strength."
