With Waheguru Ji’s grace, I got the opportunity to take Amrit under the guidance of Bhai Sahib Ji Bhai Simranjeet Singh Ji on March 14th, 2026, in a small village located near Tohana, in Haryana. Gurdwara Sahib Prabh Milnae Ka Chao Tohana is in the midst of green farms, making it a quiet and a serene place. Since October 2026, besides Nitnem recitation, Kirtan, and Katha, a continuous Naam Jup for more than ten hours a day was being done every day. Each of sangat members was required to attend all the day’s program. The whole environment was beaming with positive vives, creating blissful moments full of ecstasy. Most of the sangat members in attendance were feeling blessed with experiences of Anhad Naad and Amrit Rus because of the conducive environment there. Taking Amrit was a very joyful experience, and my heart was full of Gratitude for getting this opportunity.
Entering the diwan hall, it felt blissful. The whole environment felt supercharged with positive energy and enthusiastic vibrations. Even though my husband and I took Amrit about thirty-five years ago, with time those memories have dimmed, and I do not remember much about it. We had flown to Washington DC, since there were no arrangements for Amrit Sanchar in Houston. Here, to start with, incredibly special moments were of doing sehej Simran led by a gurmukh jun. When the Punj Pyarae entered the darbar hall with jakaras, the entire environment felt immensely powerful. I felt such good fragrances around; their aura was so magical and graceful. The Punj Pyaraes are truly blessed with a Pooran Sadhu’s sangat for so many years.
Away from the shadows of the materialistic world, following Bhai Sahib’s guidance, they are leading a remarkably simple life, always immersed in remembrance of Truth (Sach) and Divine Sound (Naad). They strictly worked on “Kaiya Munder Mansa Thum” Bhai Sahib Ji guided them to get to the sehej awastha and seek Naam. He made sure that they had mastered the skill/technique of killing their thoughts and getting out of the shackle of punj doots. Obviously, Amrit prepared by such Gurmukh jun will be so mesmerizing and so effective. So, while they were preparing the Amrit, we were doing guided Simran under the supervision of a Gurmukh jun.
When the Amrit got ready, we were all called upon one by one to sit in “Bir Rus” posture to receive it. I was quite concerned because of my knee and shoulder joints problem; I may not be able to sit in that posture. But with Guru Ji’s grace and Uttam sangat of the Gurmukh juns, I had no issue at all. I sat very comfortably.
They put Amrit in our cupped hands and asked us to drink it and call out Waheguru. As the Amrit trickled in my body, I felt immensely powerful, uplifted, and energetic. It was so blissful that it felt as if Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj Ji was himself present throughout the duration. I felt so magical and blessed. As Amrit was sprinkled in my eyes and on my hair, tears rolled down my eyes in gratitude with word “Shukrana,” in my heart. The calling out and listening to “Waheguru, Waheguru” was the best gift of my life. When everyone had taken Amrit, we were all asked to stand up in a single line. We drank Amrit from a special bata/bowl taking turns which tasted so divinous and full of Hur Rus.
The precious moments were when Bhai Sahib Ji came on to the mike and congratulated all of us for partaking the Amrit. With so much love and respect, he explained to us that besides being a sant, now each of us have become a sipahee/soldier and sons and daughters of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj Ji. He encouraged us that we should conduct both roles in our community. He inspired us very gracefully that we should continuously grow spiritually and “Naam jupna and Naam jupana” should become the motto of our lives. He asked us to do suchi sangat as much as we can. He also wanted us to do seva/service; while doing it, the chants “Waheguru, Waheguru” should be on our lips, then only our seva becomes fruitful and effective.
At the end of the program, Bhai Sahib Ji announced to the whole sangat that those who wish to get Chula Sahib(left over Amrit) should form a line outside at the door of the main diwan hall. One by one, the sangat members got the taste of it. There was an immense joy and satisfaction among the whole sangat. We, who all had taken Amrit were requested to sit in a peaceful place and do internal Simran without a sound with mind chanting and mind listening (Antargut Simran) by closing our eyes.
After having such a powerful experience, I humbly request that if you have not taken Amrit, please commit yourself to do it so that you can experience it first-hand yourself.
