Wednesday, July,03 2013 - AMRITSAR: Air India is set to resume its Amritsar-Birmingham flight via Delhi from August 1. General Manager Anil Mehta who was in city Tuesday made the announcement while he came to pay obeisance at Golden Temple.
The flight will operate four days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The flight will be a new 256-seater Boeing 787 Dreamliner with 238 economy and 18 business class seats.
The flight will depart from Amritsar at 10.30 am and reach Delhi at 11.45 am and leave for Birmingham at 1.30 pm and reach there at 6 pm. The return journey will start 9.30 pm the same night and reach Amritsar at 1.10 pm.
The officials of Airport Authority of India opined that the flight will enhance income and help in curtailing losses.
