Meditating on Naam we start to eradicate the pain of ego. 
Baljit Singh gives an example of how Baba Prithi Chand, the eldest son of Guru Ram Das ji & middle son Baba Mahadev ji, allow their ego to come in the way by disobeying  their father’s order (bachan) but it was the youngest son (Guru) Arjun Dev ji that was the perfect example of being egoless and following their Guru’s bachan.
