There was a panj carrying swords, another panj carrying nishans (flags), chour seva and umbrellas over both Granths, a trumpet, a drum, a bell, flowers, sprinkled water. The minimum for the procession was 18 to 21 sevadars plus the sangat.
One youth is studying medicine NOT to become a general practitioner or even a medical specialist but because he owns a medical innovations company which does research in the medical field. He believes that by qualifying as a doctor, he will be able to contribute towards the future success of his company and help humankind -- not just one patient at a time!
From the very beginning when this sangat came together, they have been very thoughtful and deliberate about making the Gurdwara a place where people come to learn and grow and address community issues

This was the fourth year of Khalsa Camp BC. It was very impressive to see how the camp has grown and developed over the years. The camp was well organised and the atmosphere was inspirational!
The teachers provided inspiring personal testimony of embracing and practicing their Sikh faith, the sanctity and respect we have for the diverse faiths and traditions that today form the rich global spiritual landscape. They addressed the spiritual ideals, outside pressures, and faith-mandated lifestyle.
An experience was what we were promised. And an experience is what we got!
It was an amazing experience to be teaching and inspiring kids. They seemed very happy about it. We had so much fun and we loved being with them.
We are also hopeful that this year on Sikh Environment Day, the Sikhs around the world will receive and celebrate the message of Guru that: 'Being Sikh is Being Kind to Environment.'
Though the main 'curriculum' is aimed at youth - mums, dads, grandparents and adults in general are also catered for in special gurmatt and gurbani interactive classes by competent bilingual 'facilitators'. It is a strong belief of this camp organisers that Sikhi can only flourish if a strong 'family values' culture is nurtured.
Both myself and Bhai Vijay Singh felt that this camp was one of the most enjoyable Gurdwara based weekend camps we have been to. The camp atmosphere was packed of energy, the organisation was done brilliantly and the children behaved exemplary.
