for Junior age group (11-17)
This film shows a young Sikh boy who has a conflict between his basketball practices and Punjabi and Khalsa school classes. In addition he encounters discouragement from his friends and news media on whether it is possible to play basketball while wearing a turban. The boy shows uncommon courage in pursuing his dreams. He manages to make the school team while at the same time makes his parents proud by doing self study on Sikh Gurus.
As a film maker, I wanted to show that highlight the contradictory demand that we all sometimes face. Also I wanted to show that it is possible to strike a healthy balance between religious expectations and mainstream activities.
